New Visa Application Procedure

Visa applications can now be submitted ONLY in person with a prior appointment at:

Netherlands Visa Application Centre
1-8 Bateman's Building
South Soho Square
London W1D 3EN

A visa application can be submitted only by the Applicant him/herself

Applications accepted at the Netherlands Visa Application Centre will be submitted on the next working day to the Embassy of The Kingdom of Netherlands for a decision. The visa processing time is a minimum of 72 hours provided that a complete file is submitted. But, it may take longer in certain cases.

All visa decisions are solely at the discretion of the Embassy of The Kingdom of Netherlands, London.

Applicants are strongly advised to track the status of their application on our website after 72 hours not before 1030am of submission before coming to collect their passport at the Netherlands Visa Application Centre.

Visas are normally dealt with within 72 hours except for the nationals of countries marked below:

Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Belarus, Burundi, Congo (DCR), Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Libya, Mali Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Nigeria, North Korea, Pakistan, Philippines, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunesia,Yemen + Palestinian Authority, Refugees, Stateless and Vietnam.

In this case, please make your application well in advance (3 weeks MINIMUM, no more than 90 days before travel) because the procedure takes a minimum 15 working days (3 weeks) for most of these countries.

Applicants who are NOT a UK resident and who hold a Type C visit visa need to be aware that their application can take 3 months to process. They are requested to provide proof of all their travel arrangements. However, Applicants need to take in consideration the processing time.

Processed applications can also be returned by Special Delivery at an additional cost. Alternatively, you can provide your own Special Delivery envelope when submitting your application.

Applicants have the option of paying their visa fees by Credit/Debit card (only at the Visa Application Centre) or Postal Orders in the name of "Netherlands Visa Application Centre". Fees in Cash will also be accepted. Cheques will not be accepted.

Along with the visa fees, there is a service charge of £24 (inclusive of VAT) applicable per visa application.

Travelers with Diplomatic & Service Passports, Death & Emergencies, Netherlands Antilles, Aruba, MVV & Orange Carpet Facility may submit their application between 9 - 10 hrs at The Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands.

A coin-operated Photocopier and Photo Booth are available for your use at the centre, should you require it.
