British nationals travelling to the Netherlands
British nationals should have a passport that is valid for the duration of their stay in the Netherlands.

On 1 January 2005, the Dutch Government introduced compulsory identification. Everybody from the age of 14 onwards is required to be able to show a valid identity document to police officers and other law enforcement authorities on their request. Valid passports, valid Dutch or EU/EEA driving licenses, Dutch residence permits (including those for EU/EEA citizens) are considered as such.

Please note that an addition of a child to a parent's passport is not a valid identity document.
